Lone Star Ironman 70.3 Races to Isle April 1st The day starts off with a 1.2-mile saltwater swim in the protected Offats Bayou followed by a 56-mile scenic one-and-a-half loop bike course along the Gulf Coast of Texas. The 13.1-mile run takes athletes through Moody Gardens, along Offats Bayou and Palm Beach, before finishing near the Discovery Pyramid. Lance Armstrong will compete in the 2012 event!

Easter in the Gardens Coming April 8th Annual Easter Egg Hunts are scheduled for noon and 2 p.m., and children 12 years old and younger are invited to run around the Oleander Bowl filled with colorful eggs. Other activities include a variety of games for prizes. In addition to all of the fun and excitement outdoors, Easter Buffet feasts will be available at both the Garden Restaurant and the Moody Gardens Hotel on Easter Sunday.

BrewMasters Craft Beer Festival Returns Labor Day Weekend The largest craft beer festival in Texas with more than 400 represented craft beers is a three-day celebration showcasing award-winning brewmasters at three signature events: the BrewTopia Beer Garden, the Brew HaHa Grand Tastings & Keg Korner, and BrewLicious in the Ballroom. D'Feet Breast Cancer Events Return to Moody Gardens October 27th The D'Feet Breast Cancer event will feature certified Adult 10K & 5K Runs, an Adult 5K Walk, and a Kids 1K Run/Walk. They came from a variety of organizations, work places, schools and many were just good folks moving their bodies for a cause. Volunteers run D'Feet and all money raised stays in the county and is used for their free screening mammogram program and free follows up care to catch breast cancer early.
